Roseridge Admin Building
Roseridge Waste Management Services Commission (Roseridge) operates a Class II Landfill and Class I Compost facility in Sturgeon County, AB. After more than 40 years in operation, Roseridge sought to modernize its facilities with a new administration building to better serve staff and clients.
Flynn Bros Projects designed and built a high-functioning, durable, and efficient administration space. The new facility includes a mix of open and enclosed office spaces, a dedicated area for scale house operators, a lunchroom, boardroom, IT and mechanical rooms, and other support spaces—all tailored to the needs of Roseridge’s operations.
Project Challenges
- Site Conditions – Wet ground conditions posed construction challenges, requiring adaptability in scheduling and execution.
- Evolving Scope – Additional work was incorporated to enhance the final functionality of the space, requiring flexibility in project management.
- Tight Final Schedule – The last month of construction required multiple trades working in a constrained space, demanding precise coordination to meet the deadline.
Project Successes
- On-Time Completion – The project was finished in time for the facility’s public opening in early November 2024.
- On-Budget Delivery – Despite schedule adjustments and added scopes, the project remained within budget.
- Enhanced Usability – The administration building was designed with long-term operational efficiency in mind, ensuring a modern and comfortable workspace.
