For this project Garneau Manufacturing invested in a new Beam CUT Beam line which is a CNC machine for cutting and drilling Steel beams. This new beam line is a significant investment for Garneau Manufacturing, and it requires indoor operation. Because of this, Garneau reached out to FBP to design and build a self-framed metal building to house the Beam line.

There were a number of challenges that Garneau faced in completing this project. Firstly, the new building was being constructed in a functioning fabrication facility and which was operational during the build. On top of that the existing building required modifications to allow the conveyor from the beam line building the ability to transfer material into the main fabrication facility. Lastly work was completed throughout the winter months, so environmental factors had to be considered for final construction.

Ultimately the client received their desired outcome at the end of the project. Their new building looks and functions great.
