Safety Officer
Position Summary:
As the Safety Officer, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe and healthy work environment for our employees, subcontractors, and visitors. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all safety programs and procedures, ensuring compliance and promoting a strong safety culture.
- Design, implement, and maintain safety programs in compliance with provincial and industry standards
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits
- Maintain safety records and documentation
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training
- Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement
- Comfortable working outdoors on construction sites
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Experience in a safety leadership role (e.g., Safety Officer, Safety Manager)
- Knowledge of OHS and relevant safety regulations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Microsoft 365 proficiency
- Valid safety certifications
